"The performance you will see, hear and feel is inspired by the life of Aglaoniki, the first Greek astronomer. Little is known about Aglaoniki's life. The first is that he came from some city in Thessaly. And the second that the inhabitants of the region and period never accepted her as an astronomer, but only as a witch. So the story we are going to tell is about a fantastic life. Or not. A life divided into different lives, different countries and different seasons. Or not.”
The book of the new Greek playwright Sofia Gourgouliani "The Healing process is over", inspired by the life of the first Greek astronomer, is coming to Athens.
After four official entries and a special mention in the Podcast Competition Section of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival as well as the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, Nalia Ziku and Sofia Gourgouliani attempt to transfer the sound imprint on stage in a unique "experiment" where the Berlin avant garde meets the Balkan underground.
Nalia Ziku with the live creation of soundscapes creates a theatrical "non-place" exploring the limits of contemporary performance in a one woman show where theater meets visual installation and electronic music.
